Description

A William IV period mourning ring. 18 carat yellow gold. Designed with rectangular shaped garnet cabochon to the centre in closed back setting. Surrounding and throughout the head is a deep relied engraved pattern. To the edge a black enamel finish.

English hallmarked example. Engraved W Walker, Ob 9 Apr 1824, At 67.

8.5mm x 12.5mm head. 4.6 grams. Hallmarks to inside.

Size S UK, 9 1/4 US.

Good overall condition. Clear hallmarks and engraving. Well set stone. Crisp floral design. Some missing enamel and solder to where it once was applied. Please view photographs.
