A late Victorian period example in 18 carat gold.
Designed with three rows of stones, the top rich bright vivid rubies, the centre old European cut diamonds, the rim with bright vivid clear sapphires. All superb quality, natural stones.
The red, white and blue perhaps to relate to UK and celebrate the Golden jubilee in 1887.
Currently a brooch but can be made into a pendant too.
CONDITION ; Excellent. Crisp pattern. Working pin and hinge. Securely set stones. All look to be original. Fine example. Has been rhodiumed at some point, original colour most likely rose gold. Please view photographs.
