A stunning Georgian period brooch, circa 1820.
High carat yellow gold, minimum 14 carats.
Snake border design. Set with a green gemstone to the eye. The centre is a foiled back facet cut red stone.
The reverse complete with glass and locket section, currently holding braided hair.
Centrepiece swivels to have the garnet or locket section facing outward.
CONDITION ; Very good. Securely set stones. Working pin and clasp. Clean example. Please view photographs.
